August 20, 1945 - January 7, 2021
Garly “Mee Mee” Glory Mae Clark was born August 20, to
the late Madison Clark Sr. and Bertha (Ceasar) Clark. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Harbor Hospice Hospital, in Lake Charles, LA.
Garly accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. As a child she was a member of the choir and as an adult later joined the hospitality committee prior to her illness. She was a graduate of Washington High School and later went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse dedicating over 40 years of service.
Garly had a great sense of humor that brought wit and laughter to the hearts of all she met. Before a prolonged illness, she enjoyed, reading, spending time with family and was an exceptional cook.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, James (Cloggis) Clark, Rev. Madison Clark, Jr., and Eugene (Precious) Clark.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Derrick Clark, Shannon Clark and daughter, Cortney Clark Timmons all of Lake Charles, La.; nine grandchildren, Erron Clark, Lae’kyn Clark, Kourtlen Thomas, Corben Clark, Khealon LaSalle, Lakendria Bushnell, Paytin Collins, Melani Clark and DeAndre Harrison; one great grandchild, Xaley Clark; three sisters, Bim (Douglas) Smith of Lake Charles, Mae Etta London of Dallas, TX., and Gaynell (Charles) Anderson of Lake Charles; special nephew, Ron (Christopher) Clark; two godchildren, Terri (Stanley) Shelton and Dana (Jamol) Brocks, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
Garly Clark’s visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., funeral service to immediately follow at Fondel Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held in Combre Memorial Park.
