Phillip Scott Weston was born on September 23, 1967, to the union of Roy and Elsie (Guidry) Weston in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was unexpectedly called to heaven on Friday, November 6, 2020. He was a 1985 graduate of Marion High School and shortly after high school graduation attended DeVry University in Irving, TX.
Phillip accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Tarsus Bible Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Patrick Broussard. Phillip was a man of many trades. He worked as a skilled stucco installer, he worked as a school bus driver and in various labor positions; however, his main job was the work he performed for his family, friends and neighbors. He was a true Shephard. Phillip passionately played the drums and the keyboards and enjoyed various types of music, mainly Jazz.
Phillip is survived by his two sisters, Julie Weston Guillory (Jureal) of Lake Charles and Michelle Weston London of Houston, TX; three brothers, Richard D. Weston (Linda), Larry C. Weston both of Lake Charles and Michael T. Weston of Kinder, LA; four nephews, Herbert D. Guillory, Richard D. Glaspie, Terrance Glaspie and Korie L. Weston; two nieces, Kailynn R. Weston and Chardae Glaspie. He also leaves his memories to be cherished by his great nieces, nephews, a host of relatives and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Roy Weston, his mother, Elsie Guidry Weston, brothers, Rossierio John Weston, Christopher Gerald Weston and Harvey Joseph Weston.
His funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Fondel Memorial Chapel. Visitation is from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the chapel. Burial will be in Perkins cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
